Park fees: the official tariff and the calculator
Updated 4 November 2026
KEXI's park package per guest: 3D2N: IDR 650,000 per foreign guest, IDR 350,000 per Indonesian guest; 4D3N: IDR 750,000 per foreign guest, IDR 350,000 per Indonesian guest. The Komodo National Park entrance fee is IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day, IDR 50,000 for an Indonesian on a weekday and IDR 75,000 at weekends, under PP 36/2024. It is never inside the IDR 78,000,000 (≈ USD 4,785) fare for Raja Bintang 01. The tariff table shows the date it was verified.
The tariff, as published
The park sets its own tariff, under government regulation PP 36/2024. A foreign visitor pays the same each day of the week. An Indonesian visitor pays less, and a little more at weekends and on public holidays. The table below shows the three figures we use.
A trip of several days pays for each day spent inside the park, and the package line on your quote already counts the park days of your route. Tickets are bought online through the park's system, which registers every visitor by name, with a passport or ID number.
Tariffs like these change, so the table carries the date of its check, and the quote confirms the sum for your dates.
| Trip | Foreign guest | Indonesian guest |
|---|---|---|
| 3D2N | IDR 650,000 | IDR 350,000 |
| 4D3N | IDR 750,000 | IDR 350,000 |
One package covers the government entrance ticket (IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day, PP 36/2024), the ranger fee and the local levies. It is quoted per guest and paid on top of the boat price, unless your quote says it is included. For other trip lengths, the desk quotes the package with your booking.
| International visitors | IDR 250,000 per person per day |
| Indonesian visitors | IDR 50,000 per person per day · IDR 75,000 weekends & holidays |
Regulation: PP 36/2024 · Verified 10 October 2026.
The calculator
Use the calculator to see the park's own ticket for your party: the number of guests multiplied by the number of days. The sum is the government ticket only, nothing else, and it moves when the tariff moves.
The park package line on our quote is a different thing. It bundles the government ticket with ranger and local levies, is stated per trip type and per guest, and is kept separate from the boat fare. We never call the package the government ticket.
The cost guide explains what the package line covers; ask us for the package figure for your route and your passports.
| Guests | Days | International | Indonesian | Indonesian · weekends & holidays |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | 1 | IDR 500,000 | IDR 100,000 | IDR 150,000 |
| 2 | 2 | IDR 1,000,000 | IDR 200,000 | IDR 300,000 |
| 2 | 3 | IDR 1,500,000 | IDR 300,000 | IDR 450,000 |
| 4 | 1 | IDR 1,000,000 | IDR 200,000 | IDR 300,000 |
| 4 | 2 | IDR 2,000,000 | IDR 400,000 | IDR 600,000 |
| 4 | 3 | IDR 3,000,000 | IDR 600,000 | IDR 900,000 |
| 10 | 1 | IDR 2,500,000 | IDR 500,000 | IDR 750,000 |
| 10 | 2 | IDR 5,000,000 | IDR 1,000,000 | IDR 1,500,000 |
| 10 | 3 | IDR 7,500,000 | IDR 1,500,000 | IDR 2,250,000 |
The calculator shows the government entrance ticket alone. KEXI's park package already includes it, together with the ranger fee and local levies. Verified 10 October 2026.
Charges beyond the ticket
The ticket is not the only charge in the park. A ranger leads every walk on Komodo, Rinca and Padar, and the ranger fee is paid per group, not per head, and confirmed on your quote. Local levies are added by the park or the village at some landings.
Flying a drone needs a park permit, sorted out before the trip, plus a daily fee on top. Ask us for the figure in writing before you plan any flight. We do not advise on where or when to fly, and we do not promise drone footage.
When you ask for the sum, ask for it line by line: a quote that lists the ticket, the ranger and the levies separately is far easier to check than a single number.
Cash and children
Tickets themselves are bought online, so there is nothing to pay at a gate. But some charges, such as a ranger or a local levy, are settled in rupiah cash on the day, or reimbursed to us in cash. Your quote says which, so that you know how much to carry.
Do not assume a child is free in the park. Send us the ages and the dates, and your quote sets out the park fee for each child.
For the boat itself, children aged 0 to 2 travel free with a parent or guardian, and from age 3 the full fare applies.
FAQ
Is the Komodo National Park fee included, and how much cash should I bring?
No. The park fee sits outside the fare. The official ticket is IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day. Our quote shows a park package line per trip type, which adds ranger and local levies. It says which items are paid in cash; bring small notes for those and for tips.
Is Komodo Island closed in 2026?
Not for the year. Short weather closures happen: Komodo and Padar were shut to boats for a few days in August 2026, and Rinca stayed open as the alternative. The tariff table on this page shows the date it was verified. Tell us your dates and we confirm what is open.
Do children pay the park fee?
Send us each child's age and the dates, and your quote sets out the park fee for each child. The boat fare follows its own rule: ages 0 to 2 free, and the full fare from age 3.
Can I fly a drone in the park?
Only with a park permit, sorted out before the trip, and a daily fee on top. A standard ticket does not cover a drone. Ask us for the figure in writing. We give no advice on where or when to fly, and we do not promise drone footage.
