A private voyage for up to sixteen

Updated 4 November 2026

A luxury Komodo boat for a large group means one named vessel and one published fare. Raja Bintang 01 takes up to 16 guests for IDR 78,000,000 (≈ USD 4,785) over 3D2N, with two private balconies, a crew of 6 and 30 life jackets.

What the word means on this boat

This page counts instead of describing. One boat: Raja Bintang 01, a 24 m phinisi with two masts, a beam of 4.30 m and a Mitsubishi 6D14 engine. One fare: the whole boat for 1 to 16 guests, with no price band to climb as the party grows. Six air-conditioned cabins, of which two have a private balcony. A crew of 6, a tender with a Suzuki 15 HP engine, a life raft, 30 life jackets, 4 ring buoys, 8 fire extinguishers, GPS and AIS.

Every line of it goes into your written quote; the specification below sets it out in order.

The balcony cabins first

Two cabins carry a private balcony and a private bathroom with an ocean view. Up on the upper deck, the Master cabin has a queen bed plus a single. The Deluxe cabin has a queen bed. In a party of twelve they go to the two couples who value a door that opens onto the water at first light, and the decision is easiest made by age or by who organised the trip.

The two Private cabins come next, on the main deck; each has a queen bed plus a single sofa bed, a private bathroom of its own and an ocean view. The two Sharing cabins come last, each with two double beds for up to four guests and a bathroom shared between them.

For twelve, then: four couples in the Master, the Deluxe and the two Private cabins, and four friends taking the Sharing cabins in two pairs.

A fare you can read

The three-day, two-night whole boat costs IDR 78,000,000 (≈ USD 4,785) for 1 to 16 guests. Twelve guests pay IDR 6,500,000 (≈ USD 399) each. The two-day route costs IDR 69,000,000 (≈ USD 4,233) and the four-day route IDR 85,000,000 (≈ USD 5,215), on the same terms. Fuel is already inside each figure, and nothing is added without a written quote.

What stands beside the fare: the Komodo park package, which is separate from every fare, and on a private charter the guide and the documentation, which are on request and quoted separately. We take a deposit of 50 percent and the balance 30 days before departure. A card link carries a fee of 3 percent.

One concession from us: a fare for sixteen is the wrong tool for a couple. For two or three guests, a single cabin on an open trip is the sensible purchase.

Your first day aboard

You step aboard in Labuan Bajo to a welcome drink and a cold towel. Kelor, Manjarite and Kalong follow, in the order the captain and the weather allow, and the boat stays at anchor for the night in an anchorage the captain chooses.

Pickup and drop-off, the airport or hotel transfer in each direction, and the hour of boarding are set with your flights. Every extra, from a cake to a photographer, is confirmed in writing before it is added, and a replacement boat of equal or higher class is our guarantee if this one cannot sail.

Limits, in one place

The two Sharing cabins share one bathroom; the other four cabins have their own. More than 16 guests on a private charter needs a second boat. Phone signal is local and varies by anchorage. The order of the day and the overnight anchorage are left to the captain and the weather, and the day plan is tentative.

If any of these is a condition of the trip, say so before you pay, and we will tell you plainly whether this boat fits.

Splitting it among twelve to sixteen

Most large parties settle the bill in equal shares. Twelve guests pay IDR 6,500,000 (≈ USD 399) each for three days; sixteen pay IDR 4,880,000 (≈ USD 299) each. The table below carries the rest of the range. Each share is the fare divided by head count, with the park package and any extras added apart.

The guide on splitting the whole boat explains who pays what and when, including a single payer collecting from the rest. If you would rather handle the payment another way, say so before booking and we confirm the arrangement in writing.

FAQ

What makes a Komodo boat tour luxury?

On this boat it means counted facts: one named phinisi, one whole-boat fare for up to 16 guests, two cabins with private balconies, six air-conditioned cabins, a crew of six and listed safety gear, all of which you can check against your written quote.

Which cabins have a private balcony and bathroom?

The Master and the Deluxe each have a private balcony and bathroom. Four of the six cabins have a private bathroom, and the two Sharing cabins share one. Phone signal is local and varies by anchorage.

How many guests can we bring?

A private charter takes up to 16 guests, on standard beds in six cabins. The open-trip cabin plan stretches to 19 with extra beds, but that is a per-seat sale, not a charter. More than 16 on a charter needs a second boat, which we would plan with you.

Can we add a photographer or a special dinner?

Yes, on request. A photographer, a decorated dinner or a cake are optional extras, so we ask the crew, send a written quote, and add nothing until you accept it. On a private charter the guide and documentation are also quoted separately.
