Two days at sea, stop by stop

The two-day route is a private-charter route. Its stops are tentative and depend on the weather.

Day one: Kelor in the first hours, then the walk at Rinca, then Kalong at sunset and a night at anchor. Day two: Padar before breakfast, then Pink Beach, Taka Makassar and Manta Point, and the harbour at Labuan Bajo at an hour we set with your flights.

The stops are many for two days, and the schedule is tight.

Day 1

What happensHave ready
·Labuan Bajo — Pickup from your hotel or Komodo Airport to the harbour; the time is set with your charter date and flightspassport or ID
·Kelor Islandshoes with grip, hat and water
·Rinca Island, a walk with a rangershoes with grip, hat and water
·Kalong Island at sunseta light layer
Night aboard. Where the boat anchors for the night depends on the weather and the captain's decision on the day.

Day 2

What happensHave ready
·Padar Island at sunriseshoes with grip, hat and water
·Pink Beachreef-safe sunscreen
·Taka Makassarmask and snorkel
·Manta Pointmask and snorkel
·Back in Labuan Bajo on day 2, then hotel or airport

These stops swap order with tide and wind: Manta Point ⇄ Taka Makassar.

Times are operating patterns, not a timetable. Pickup is the only promise we make by the clock.

Rinca instead of Komodo Island

On this route the dragon walk is at Rinca. A ranger leads the walk, and the park package pays for the ranger. The trail is on foot, so wear shoes you can walk in and carry water ashore.

Dragons are possible on the walk. They are never promised, and a ranger will say the same. If a longer trip is on the table, Komodo Island joins the three-day plan on day two.

The page for the Komodo or Rinca stop covers the trail in more detail. Read it before you decide which island you would rather walk, and tell us if that choice changes the route you want quoted.

The fare, divided

The whole boat costs IDR 69,000,000 (≈ USD 4,233) for 1 to 16 guests. Ten guests pay IDR 6,900,000 (≈ USD 423) each. That is all the arithmetic there is; the table below runs it for other party sizes.

The park package is quoted beside the fare, and on a charter so are the guide and the documentation. The two-day route is sold as a whole-boat charter only, so a single seat is not available for this length.

The fare is rounded, in rupiah, with fuel inside. Nothing is added without a written quote.

Shorter, but not for every flight

We confirm the hour at which the two-day trip ends with your quote. We set it with your flights and confirm it in writing, so book your flight home only after we send the harbour time.

We do not sell a one-day charter on this boat. The shortest route we sell is the two-day trip, and if a single day is what you need, ask us for a day quote and we say plainly whether the boat can do it.

A late flight home gives the second day some room. An early one takes Manta Point out of the plan.

Where two days runs short

The limit is the second day. Padar before breakfast, Pink Beach, Taka Makassar and Manta Point is a lot of water to cover before a flight. The sequence from Pink Beach to Manta Point is the part that gets rushed.

We are the wrong choice for anyone who wants a slow second day. The three-day route gives Komodo Island its own morning and the stops more air.

Who it suits: a team away-day that wants one night on the water, or two families with limited leave who would sooner see Padar and Kalong than nothing.

FAQ

Can a one-day private charter cover Padar, Komodo and Pink Beach, and what does the day look like?

There is no full-day fare for this boat, and the shortest route is the two-day trip. A single day cannot cover Padar, Komodo and Pink Beach together at a fair pace. Ask us for a day quote on WhatsApp and we say in writing what the boat can do.

Does the route visit Komodo Island, or only Rinca?

On the two-day route the dragon walk is at Rinca, not Komodo Island. Komodo Island appears on the three-day plan, where the dragon walk is on Komodo Island or Rinca as the day plan allows. Dragons are possible at either stop and never promised.

How many days do you need in Komodo?

Three days and two nights give the full set of stops: Kelor, Kalong, Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo Island, Taka Makassar and Manta Point. Two days is the shortest we sell and fits a limited schedule. Four days add room, not stops.

What time does the trip end on day two?

We confirm the end time of the two-day trip with your quote. We set it with your flights and confirm the harbour time in writing. Book your flight home after we send that time, and allow for the transfer from the harbour.
