What the park line in a boat quote covers

Updated 4 November 2026

The Komodo national park entrance fee in a boat package is a separate line. The government ticket is IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day under PP 36/2024, and our package line sits beside the fare. The IDR 78,000,000 (≈ USD 4,785) fare for Raja Bintang 01 excludes it, and three-day and four-day trips pay for different numbers of park days.

Ask for the park sum

The line that sits beside the fare

A park package line is the entrance ticket, the ranger and the local levies, taken together. It is never inside the fare. On the quote we send, it appears as its own line with its own total, so that you can see what the boat costs and what the park costs.

No fixed total is stated here. The sum depends on the number of guests, the number of park days and your nationality, and we count it for your dates.

The itinerary below shows the three-day plan, which is where the park days are counted from.

Times are operating patterns, not a timetable. Pickup is the only promise we make by the clock.

Two days, three days, four days in the park

The park line grows with the days. A two-day trip covers fewer days in the park than a three-day trip, and a four-day trip covers more. The plans below show the three-day route and the four-day sample route, which are the references we count from.

Write it down as a question to us: what is the park sum for my dates? We answer in writing with the number of park days we have counted, and the answer is part of the quote.

No invented totals appear on this page, because the day count depends on where the boat lies on the day.

Foreigners, residents, weekends

The official ticket is IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day. Indonesian citizens pay IDR 50,000 on a weekday and IDR 75,000 at weekends and on public holidays. These are the park's own figures as checked on 4 November 2026.

On the three-day route, day two carries Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo Island, Taka Makassar and Manta Point, so it is certainly a park day. Whether day one and day three count depends on where the boat is on the day, and we count them when we write the quote.

Park fees for children depend on age, and we set them out for each child on your quote.

Cash on the day

Park tickets are bought online and paid without cash. Every visitor is registered by name and passport or ID number, which is why we ask for your passport details ahead of the trip. Ask for the e-ticket in your name.

That means you do not carry cash for the entrance ticket on the day if the park line is in your quote. Bring small cash for tips and personal expenses. The quote states how the park line is paid for your dates, and we confirm it in writing.

The ranger on the dragon walk is part of the park line. The ranger's fee is paid per group, not per person, and it is confirmed on your quote.

What a boat price shows and what it hides

A fare shows the boat. It shows the crew of 6, the meals, the snorkelling gear and the transfers. It does not show the park, which is a government charge.

The comparison to watch for is a boat price that says park fees are included without saying for how many days. Ours lists the line separately, in writing, and nothing is added without a written quote.

The whole boat on this site costs IDR 69,000,000 (≈ USD 4,233) for two days, IDR 78,000,000 (≈ USD 4,785) for three and IDR 85,000,000 (≈ USD 5,215) for four. The park line comes in addition to each.

Rules that change

Tariffs and quotas move. The ticket figures above were checked on 4 November 2026, and a daily cap on park visitors applies, so a date can close. Ask us before you buy flights.

The park-fees page holds the full table and the calculator in more detail. Read it for the tariff and use this page for what the line in a quote covers.

A drone is a separate matter. It needs a park permit and a daily fee of its own, and the permit is requested before the trip. On the open trip the documentation is in the seat, and on a charter it is available on request.

FAQ

Is the Komodo National Park fee included in the boat price?

No. The fare for the boat excludes the park. The government ticket is IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day, and our package line adds the ranger and local levies, quoted in writing. Ask for the sum for your dates.

How much cash should I bring for the park?

Park tickets are paid without cash, so none is needed for the entrance ticket if the line is in your quote. Bring small cash for tips and personal expenses. The quote says how your park line is paid, and we confirm it in writing.

Who walks the dragon trail with us?

A park ranger leads every walk on Komodo and Rinca, and walking alone is not allowed. The ranger's fee is paid per group and sits inside the park package line, so it appears on your quote.

Can I fly a drone in the park?

Only with a permit. A drone needs a park permit through the park's online system and a daily fee, requested before the trip. On the open trip the documentation with drone is in the seat. On a private charter it is on request, quoted separately.
