A team trip on one boat, with one invoice

Updated 4 November 2026

A Komodo team retreat on a private phinisi puts sixteen colleagues on the whole of Raja Bintang 01 for IDR 78,000,000 (≈ USD 4,785) over 3D2N. That is IDR 4,880,000 (≈ USD 299) each, on one fare, with a crew of 6 and one company invoice from PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia.

Which door each colleague takes

A team of sixteen fills the boat exactly, on standard beds, so the cabin plan is a seating chart worth drawing before you book. The Master cabin is up on the upper deck. It and the Deluxe cabin each have a private balcony, a private bathroom and an ocean view. They go to the two people the company wants rested, whoever they are.

The two Private cabins each take a pair, with a queen bed and a single sofa bed. The two Sharing cabins hold up to four guests each on two double beds, and the bathroom between them is shared. Four colleagues who know each other well belong there, and they should hear about the shared bathroom from you, not from the deck.

Four cabins have their own bathroom and two share one. Email us the plan before you pay and we confirm it in writing.

Sixteen seats, one purchase order

A company trip is easier when one party pays once. The whole-boat fare is a single figure for 1 to 16 guests, so there is one invoice, one payer and one date, issued by PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia, NIB 1805260128363. Accounts do not have to chase sixteen separate bookings.

Compare it with sixteen open-trip seats, where each person buys a cabin place, the cabin is shared with a stranger, and the departure is a Monday or Friday set by the calendar. On a private charter the date is yours, subject to availability. The trade is that the guide and the documentation are left out, and quoted separately if you want them.

Payment is by link, PayPal or EDC, with fees of 3 percent, 7.2 percent and 3 percent. We take a deposit of 50 percent and the balance 30 days before departure.

Retreat hours between two anchorages

Nobody should expect a conference centre. The boat has an indoor dining room and an outdoor chill area with sun decks. Plan the agenda as conversation, not slides: phone signal is local and varies by anchorage.

The three-day route sets the rhythm. Day one: Kelor, Manjarite and Kalong. Day two: Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo Island or Rinca, Taka Makassar and Manta Point. Day three: Sebayur or Siaba, then the harbour by 12:00 to 12:30.

The retreat hours are the ones between the stops. The dining table does for a morning session before the first landing, and the sun deck does for the afternoon. The running order and the night's anchorage are decided by the captain with the weather, and the plan is tentative.

Day 1

What happensHave ready
·Pickup from your hotel or Komodo Airport in Labuan Bajo (open trip: between 09:30 and 12:00)passport or ID
·On board at Labuan Bajo harbour

·Manjaritemask and snorkel
·Kalong Island at sunseta light layer
Night aboard. Where the boat anchors for the night depends on the weather and the captain's decision on the day.

Day 2

What happensHave ready
·Padar Islandshoes with grip, hat and water
·Pink Beachreef-safe sunscreen
·Komodo Island, to look for Komodo dragons with a rangerclosed shoes, park ticket
·Taka Makassar sandbarreef-safe sunscreen
·Manta Point, to look for manta raysmask and snorkel
Night aboard. Where the boat anchors for the night depends on the weather and the captain's decision on the day.

Day 3

What happensHave ready
·Sebayur or Siaba Islandmask and snorkel
12:00Back at Labuan Bajo harbour between 12:00 and 12:30 (book flights after 13:00)

These stops swap order with tide and wind: Manta Point ⇄ Taka Makassar.

Times are operating patterns, not a timetable. Pickup is the only promise we make by the clock.

If a date or the boat changes

Companies ask the practical question first, and it deserves a plain answer. If the boat cannot sail, because of a breakdown, a port order or a park order, we supply a phinisi of the same or a higher class on the same date at no extra cost, or a full refund within 2 days. That guarantee applies to company bookings as it does to any other.

If you move the date, rescheduling 14 to 29 days before departure costs IDR 500,000. If you cancel, 50 percent is refunded at 60 days or more and 25 percent at 30 to 59 days. The balance falls due 30 days before departure. The full terms are on the terms page, and we send them with the quote.

Diets, drinks and the dinner

Tell us about diets and allergies when you book, not on the pier. We pass them to the crew and confirm in writing what can be arranged. We do not claim a halal, vegan or allergy-safe kitchen, and a serious allergy needs a conversation with us first.

Meals, snacks, fruit, mineral water, coffee and tea are included. Drinks beyond those are a question for us before the trip, and anything extra is quoted in writing. A team dinner on deck, a cake for a colleague's milestone or a photographer: all on request, and each quoted separately.

Budgeting for sixteen

The line for finance is short. Sixteen colleagues on the three-day route pay IDR 4,880,000 (≈ USD 299) each, which is the whole-boat fare of IDR 78,000,000 (≈ USD 4,785) divided by sixteen. Twelve colleagues pay IDR 6,500,000 (≈ USD 399) each on the same boat. The table below shows the range between them.

Kept apart from the fare and added to it: the park package, the guide and the documentation on request, and any extra we quote. All are in writing before you pay. If the team is larger than sixteen, the second boat is a second booking and a second invoice.

FAQ

Can you issue an invoice to our company?

Yes. The invoice comes from PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia, NIB 1805260128363, for the whole-boat fare, with the deposit and balance dates written on it. Payment is by card link at 3 percent, PayPal at 7.2 percent or EDC at 3 percent. Send us the company name and address at booking.

What happens if the boat is replaced or cancelled?

If the boat cannot sail because of a breakdown, a port order or a park order, we provide a phinisi of the same or a higher class on the same date at no extra cost. If we cannot, you receive a full refund within 2 days.

Do you cater for halal, vegetarian or allergies?

Tell us at booking; we pass it on to the crew, then confirm in writing what can be arranged. We do not claim a halal, vegan or allergy-safe kitchen. Serious allergies need a conversation with us before you pay.

Is there a meeting room or Wi-Fi?

The boat has an indoor dining room, an outdoor chill area and sun decks. For Wi-Fi, ask us before booking and we confirm it in writing. Plan the agenda as conversation rather than slides, and tell us if a team session needs a screen or a connection.
