Sixteen guests on one phinisi: the bed plan, cabin by cabin
Updated 4 November 2026
Raja Bintang 01 sleeps 16 guests on standard beds across 6 cabins: Master, Deluxe, two Private and two Sharing. Four cabins have their own bathroom, and the two Sharing cabins share one. A private charter holds up to 16; 19 applies only to open-trip cabin plans with extra beds.
The count: two, two, two, two, four, four
Sixteen is arithmetic before it is a promise. The Master cabin sleeps two on its queen bed. The Deluxe cabin sleeps two. Each of the two Private cabins sleeps two, and each of the two Sharing cabins sleeps four. Add them and the standard beds reach 16, which is also the ceiling for a private charter at one whole-boat fare.
The cabin cards print wider ranges, two to three guests in the Master and Private cabins and two to four in the Sharing cabins. The third place in a Master or Private cabin is a single bed or a sofa bed. Those places belong to the open-trip cabin plan with extra beds, which allows up to 19. They do not raise the charter line, which stays at 16.
So a party of 17 or more needs a second boat. One phinisi does not stretch, and we would rather say so now than at the gangway.
Cabin by cabin: what it has, who it suits, what it lacks
Master Cabin
Upper deck, queen bed plus a single bed, ocean view, a private balcony, a private bathroom, air conditioning, a sofa, sockets and towels. Suits: a couple, or a parent with one child on the single bed.
Deluxe Cabin
A queen bed, ocean view, a private balcony, a private bathroom and air conditioning. Suits: a couple who want a balcony of their own.
Private Cabin 01 and 02
Main deck, a queen bed plus a sofa bed, ocean view, a private bathroom, air conditioning, a sofa. Suits: a couple, with or without a child. No balcony.
Sharing Cabin 01 and 02
Main deck, two double beds in each cabin, air conditioning, sockets and towels. Suits: four friends, two couples, or cousins who like each other. The bathroom is shared with the other Sharing cabin.
Bathrooms: four of their own, one for eight
The Master, Deluxe and two Private cabins each have a private bathroom. The two Sharing cabins have one between them. With the boat full on standard beds, that is eight guests on one bathroom.
This is the point that changes how groups plan: the first eight guests can all have a bathroom of their own, and the ninth cannot. On standard beds, the four private-bathroom cabins hold eight. Cross that line and somebody sleeps in a Sharing cabin.
Give those places to people who will manage it with good humour: friends who share rooms anyway, cousins, grown children on a parents' birthday. Keep the early risers together, and tell everyone the order of showers on the first evening. The cabins page carries the full list for each cabin.
Three ways to fill the boat
Three example parties on the 3D2N route, with each guest's share of the whole-boat fare of IDR 78,000,000 (≈ USD 4,785). The fare is one figure for 1 to 16 guests. The park package sits beside it, and a guide and documentation on a charter are quoted separately.
- Sixteen guests. Four couples take the Master, Deluxe and two Private cabins. Eight more take the two Sharing cabins, four each. Each guest's share is IDR 4,880,000 (≈ USD 299).
- Twelve guests. Six pairs, one per cabin. Each Sharing cabin has two double beds, so its pair takes one and leaves the other empty. Each share is IDR 6,500,000 (≈ USD 399).
- Eight guests. Four couples in the four private-bathroom cabins, and the Sharing cabins closed. Nobody shares a bathroom. Each share is IDR 9,750,000 (≈ USD 598).
A third guest in a Master or Private cabin is possible on the cabin cards. On a charter we write the bed plan down and confirm it before you pay.
Seventeen to nineteen, and the single-cabin route
Nineteen is a real figure and a narrow one. It applies when extra beds are made up on the open-trip cabin plan, where cabins are sold by the seat. On the open trip, which starts on Monday & Friday, guide and drone, camera and GoPro documentation are included. On a private charter they are not, and a quote for them is written on request.
If your party is nearer twelve than sixteen, a charter still gives you the whole boat at one fare, and the six cabins are yours to allocate. Send us the rooming list and we turn it into a cabin plan for you to approve. If you are only four, the open trip is the better fit, and the seat prices start at IDR 4,750,000 (≈ USD 291).
One more limit: the order of stops and the overnight anchorage are the captain's call, made with the weather. The cabin plan does not change with them, but the evening on deck does.

FAQ
How many people fit on Raja Bintang 01?
Sixteen guests on standard beds in six cabins, which is also the limit for a private charter. With extra beds, the open-trip cabin plan reaches 19. A party of 17 or more on a private charter needs a second boat.
Which cabins share a bathroom?
The two Sharing cabins share one bathroom between them, so up to eight guests use it when the boat is full. The Master, Deluxe and two Private cabins each have a private bathroom.
Which cabins have a balcony?
Two: the Master cabin and the Deluxe cabin, each with a private balcony and an ocean view. The Private and Sharing cabins have none. The Master sits on the upper deck.
Can we choose which guest takes which cabin?
On a whole-boat charter the six cabins are yours, so you decide. Send us the rooming list with ages and bed preferences, and we return a written cabin plan. A third guest in a Master or Private cabin is confirmed in that plan.
